Presentation and training objectives

Knowledge of the principles of haemodynamics remains one of the priorities in the training of vascular surgeons, angiologists, phlebologists, or any other medical professional dealing with vascular diseases.

Recent advances in biomedical research are in fact highlighting the importance of fluid dynamic forces in the genesis and evolution of aortic aneurysm disorders, peripheral and carotid arteriopathies, as well as the optimization of vascular and/or endovascular surgical techniques to be adopted to improve results at a distance.

In this sense, the studies and research developed to propose the haemodynamic conservative treatment of varicose pathology have been pioneering, providing us with a methodology of scientific approach that helped us to understand the evolution of the disease and to develop effective proposals for conservative corrective treatment.

The course will therefore allow you to deepen and broaden your understanding of the aforementioned topics with experts in the various specialities. In this way, we will address pathologies similar to phlebology, such as those specifically concerning the females, with the contribution of gynaecology, and pathologies related to diabetes. We will have contributions from cardiology and vascular surgery and also from seemingly less related specialities, such as dermatology, aesthetic medicine, and hepatology.

Training methods

Intensive course in which the lecturers will present the material and encourage dialogue, discussion and interaction with the participants. In some sessions of the course, the lecturer will discuss real clinical cases and perform a demonstration of therapeutic solutions
